Our Story
Our Story
Forged in Grit. Built for the Brave.
Anvil & Anthem wasn't created because the world needed another apparel company.
It was created because the people who build this country deserve to be recognized.
For 31 years, I had the privilege of serving in the United States Navy. During those years, I served alongside extraordinary men and women who embodied courage, sacrifice, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to something greater than themselves. They came from every corner of America, every background, and every walk of life, yet they shared a common belief: when duty calls, you answer.
That lesson never leaves you.
Over three decades of service, I learned that character isn't inherited—it's forged. It's forged during long nights, difficult deployments, impossible deadlines, personal sacrifice, and the moments when no one is watching. It is built through accountability, perseverance, humility, and the willingness to put others before yourself.
When my Navy career came to an end, my commitment to those values didn't.
I wanted to create something that would continue honoring the people who make this nation strong—not just those who serve in uniform, but everyone who answers the call through hard work, sacrifice, and service.
That's how Anvil & Anthem was born.
Every day, millions of Americans go to work without expecting recognition. They lace up work boots before sunrise. They wear badges, helmets, scrubs, turnout gear, tool belts, and uniforms. They climb utility poles, teach classrooms, patrol neighborhoods, answer emergency calls, build homes, repair infrastructure, protect our freedoms, and keep our communities running.
Most will never ask for applause.
But they deserve our respect.
Their stories deserve to be told.
Our name reflects exactly what we believe.
The Anvil represents strength forged under pressure. Steel becomes stronger through fire, and people become stronger through adversity. Every challenge we face has the opportunity to shape us into someone stronger, wiser, and more resilient.
The Anthem represents something greater than any one individual. It symbolizes the shared values that unite us as Americans: service, freedom, personal responsibility, faith, integrity, and the belief that ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary things when they stand together.
Those principles have guided my life, my military career, and now this company.
Anvil & Anthem is proudly veteran-owned, but our mission reaches far beyond veterans alone. We exist for everyone who believes that hard work matters, that integrity still means something, and that serving others—whether in uniform or in everyday life—is one of the highest callings a person can answer.
Every design we create is meant to honor those who serve, protect, build, and sacrifice. Our apparel isn't simply something you wear.
It's a statement of gratitude.
It's a reminder that courage still exists.
It's a celebration of the people who quietly keep America moving forward every single day.
We also believe gratitude should be more than words. That's why a portion of qualifying purchases supports organizations whose missions reflect our own values, including the Mike Rowe Works Foundation and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Giving back isn't a marketing campaign—it's a responsibility.
As we continue to grow, our mission remains unchanged:
To honor those who came before us.
To support those who serve today.
To inspire the next generation to embrace hard work, personal responsibility, courage, and love of country.
If you've ever worn a uniform, worked with your hands, sacrificed for your family, answered a difficult calling, or chosen the harder path because it was the right one, then you already understand what Anvil & Anthem stands for.
This isn't just my story.
It's the story of every American whose character has been forged through adversity, whose purpose has been shaped by service, and whose legacy is measured not by what they take—but by what they give.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
Welcome to the Forge.
Welcome to the Anthem.
